The tour begins with the discovery of the surroundings of Tangier. The picturesque and winding road leads to Cape Spartel and the Caves of Hercules. Tanger is located on the Strait of Gibraltar and offers a fascinating mix of Africa, Europe and the Orient. The city has inspired many European and American artists (painters, musicians and writers). You will discover the ‘Grand Socco’, a busy place with an original architecture, and the Medina with its narrow streets and the ‘Little Socco’ square in the centre. You will also visit the Kasbah which dominates the old town and the harbour.

Tetuan is located at 60 km from Tangier in a fertile valley at the foothills of the Rif Mountains and surrounded by beautiful gardens and olive groves.When the peasants of the region come to the local market for the sale of their agricultural products,  the women wear their traditional dress: striped clothing and a big straw hat.  The Medina is one of the main attractions. Many houses were built in Andalusian and Moorish style.

Chefchaouen is a small town located in the heart of the Rif Mountains at an altitude of 610 m. It was founded in the 15th century and from 1920 till 1956 under Spanish protectorate.

The Medina with its houses painted in blue and white and its winding alleys has a special charm. The nearby source of Ras el Ma provides plenty of water throughout the year. A handicraft speciality of the region are hand-woven wool garments and blankets.

Assilah is located at 50km in the South of Tangier. The clean and well-kept town on the Atlantic coast offers a beautiful beach. The ramparts which were built by the Portuguese in the 15^th century have five gates from different periods. They contrast with the white and blue houses. Other remains of the past are impressive towers and bastions. The local people live mainly from fishing and agriculture but in recent years tourism has grown significantly.
