Program
  • Day 1 : TANGIER / FES

    Arrival in Tangier. Disembarkation and welcome by our guide. Departure to Fez. The oldest of the four imperial cities is located in a hilly landscape surrounded by the Sais plain. Fes was founded during the 8th century by Moulay Idriss and in the past also the capital of several dynasties. It reached its zenith under the Merinid sultans in the 14th century. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2 : FES

    Visit of the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco during the whole day: the Karaouiine Mosque and Mausoleum Moulay Idriss (both exterior), Medersa Attarine, Bab Bou Jeloud, the leather tannery, Najjarine Fountain and the Medina with the vibrant Souks where some alleys are only wide enough for a laden donkey to pass through. The Medina with its medieval charm and numerous craftsmen has been classified as ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ by UNESCO. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3 : FES / MEKNES / BENI MELLAL

    Departure to Meknes. The city is surrounded by about 25 miles of triple walls and also known as ‘Versailles of Morocco’. Visit of the city of Sultan Moulay Ismail, El Hedim Square, the Medina and the majestic gate ‘Bab Mansour’ which is deemed to be the most beautiful gate in North Africa.

    Then the road leads via Azrou through the cedar and oak forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. The region is particularly idyllic and verdant. Arrival in Beni Mellal.  This town is located in the heart of the mountains at an altitude de 625m and surrounded by orchards and fields. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 4 : BENI MELLAL / MARRAKECH

    Departure to Marrakesh. The foundation of this ancient imperial city is dated back to the 11th century. It is fascinating by its different ethnic groups, its Islamic and Arabic architecture and its colours. You will discover the bustling Souks which are the largest ones in Morocco. Enjoy the unique atmosphere on famous Djemaa El Fna Square with its dancers, acrobats, snake charmers, performing monkeys and story tellers… Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5 : MARRAKECH

    Second part of the visit of Marrakesh – the city is also named the ‘Red Pearl of the South’. Visit of some remarkable monuments: the magnificent Saadian Tombs, the ramparts, the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), the sumptuous Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6 : MARRAKECH / CASABLANCA / RABAT

    Departure to Casablanca. Sightseeing tour of the ‘economical and industrial capital’ of Morocco whose population is increasing steadily: visit of Anfa residential area, Square Mohamed V, beach promenade Ain Diab and the monumental Mosque Hassan II (exterior) which is one of the biggest in the world. Continuation to Rabat and visit of the political capital with its famous landmark Hassan Tower and the ruined pillars, Mausoleum Mohamed V,  the Royal Palace (exterior) and the Kasbah of the Oudayas which offers a nice view on the mouth of Bouregreg river and the ocean. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 7 : RABAT / TANGIER

    Departure to Tangier. The city is located on the Strait of Gibraltar and offers a fascinating mix of Africa, Europe and the Orient. The Kasbah which dominates the old town and the harbour offers a beautiful view. Tangier has inspired many European and American artists (painters, musicians and writers). You will discover the ‘Grand Socco’, a busy place with an original architecture, and the Medina with its narrow streets and the ‘Little Socco’ square in the centre.  Free time until embarkation.
