The most striking attraction of this ancient town (with the nickname ‘Little Marrakech’) are the impressive ramparts which have been kept in good repair. Taroudant’s Souks are also worth a visit. Then you will discover the famous ‘Road of the Kasbahs’ where massive fortifications built by rammed earth are scattered here and there along the road. Continuation to the Todra Gorges where impressive rocks reach a height of 300 m. Afterwards the road leads through the beautiful Dades Valley with its terraced fields and numerous palm groves. Continuation via Kelâa M’gouna (known for the beautiful rose gardens) to Ouarzazate. The region was used as a film set in many international film productions. Dinner and overnight.
In the morning visit of the imposing Kasbah Taourirt – a former residence of the Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech. Continuation to the famous gigantic village of Ait Ben Haddou with its Kasbah. It has been classified as ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ by UNESCO. Then drive to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. We will cross the highest point of the pass road ‘Col Tizi-n-Tichka’ at an altitude of 2260m. Arrival in Marrakech and visit of the unforgettable Djemaa El Fna square. Enjoy the unique atmosphere with dancers, acrobats, story tellers and snake charmers... Dinner and overnight.
