Program
  • Day 1 : TANGIER / FES

    Arrival in Tangier. Disembarkation and welcome by our guide. Departure to Fez. The oldest of the four imperial cities is located in a hilly landscape surrounded by the Sais plain. Fes was founded during the 8th century by Moulay Idriss and in the past also the capital of several dynasties. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2 : FES

    Visit of the ‘spiritual and cultural capital’ of Morocco during the whole day: the Karaouiine Mosque and Mausoleum Moulay Idriss (both exterior), Medersa Attarine, the leather tannery, Bab Boujloud, Najjarine Fountain and the Medina with the vibrant Souks where some alleys are only wide enough for a laden donkey to pass through. The Medina with its medieval charm and numerous craftsmen has been classified as ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ by UNESCO since 1981. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3 : FES / MIDELT / ERFOUD

    Today the road leads through the cedar and oak forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains. The region is particularly idyllic and verdant.  A photo stop will be made in Ifrane. This town at an altitude of 1700m is also a winter sports resort. Continuation to Erfoud via Midelt and Errachidia by passing through the Ziz Valley and beautiful sceneries. Dinner and overnight.

    Optional: Excursion by off road vehicle to Merzouga. The small village is located at 50km from Erfoud at the foot of the fabulous sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Discover the magic of the Sahara!

  • Day 4 : ERFOUD / TINEGHIR / OUARZAZATE

    Departure via Tinghir to the imposing ‘Todra Gorges’ with its narrow passages.  You will enjoy the  sight of the  splendid rocks which reach a height of 300 m.  Continuation on the ‘Road of the Kasbahs’ through the beautiful ‘Dades Valley’ with its terraced fields and Kelaa M’gouna. The region is known for its garden of roses. Continuation to Ouarzazate. The town  is considered nowadays as a ‘Mini Hollywood’ since many international films have been produced in this area. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5 : OUARZAZATE / MARRAKECH

    In the morning visit of the imposing Kasbah Taourirt which used to be the Residence of Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech. Then you will discover the gigantic village of Ait Ben Haddou with its famous Kasbah. It has been classified as ‘World Cultural Heritage Site’ by UNESCO. Continuation through the High Atlas Mountains. The road offers breathtaking views and reaches at the highest point an altitude of 2265m (Tizi-N-Tichka pass). Arrival in Marrakesh, the ‘Red Pearl of the South’. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 6 : MARRAKECH

    Sightseeing of Marrakesh during the whole day: you will discover the impressive Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque (exterior), the sumptuous Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens. The foundation of Marrakesh is dated back to the 11th century. This ancient imperial city is fascinating by its different ethnic groups, its Islamic and Arabic architecture and its colours. Enjoy the unique atmosphere on famous Djemaa El Fna Square with numerous attractions such as dancers, acrobats, snake charmers, performing monkeys and story tellers… The bustling souks are the largest ones in Morocco. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 7 : MARRAKECH / CASABLANCA

    Departure to Casablanca. Sightseeing tour of the ‘economical and industrial capital’ of Morocco whose population  is increasing steadily : visit of Anfa residential area, Square Mohamed V, beach promenade Ain Diab and the monumental Mosque Hassan II (exterior) which is one of the biggest in the world. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 8 : CASABLANCA / RABAT / TANGIER

    Departure to Rabat. Visit of the political capital with its famous landmark Hassan Tower and the ruined pillars, Mausoleum Mohamed V, the Royal Palace (exterior) and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Continuation to Tangier. The city is located on the Strait of Gibraltar and offers a fascinating mix of Africa, Europe and the Orient. The Kasbah which dominates the old town and the harbour offers a beautiful view. Tangier has inspired many European and American artists (painters, musicians and writers). You will discover the ‘Grand Socco’, a busy place with an original architecture, and the Medina with its narrow streets and the ‘Little Socco’ square in the centre.  Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 9 : TANGIER

    After breakfast free time until embarkation.
